Holder Heroics Deliver Windies Win to Level Series

West Indies stunned Pakistan by two wickets to level the T20I series. On August 3 in Lauderhill, Holder took four wickets and hit the winning four.

Pakistan managed 133 for nine after batting first. Salman Ali Agha made 38 off 33. Hasan Nawaz added 40 from 23 balls. Mohammad Nawaz grabbed three for 14. Holder struck four for 19 across four overs.

West Indies lost early wickets. Motie scored 28 off 20 balls. Shepherd added 15 off 11. The chase reduced to eight runs off the final over. Afridi erred but Holder glided the winning single.
Shai Hope said, “We always try to get better.” Holder added, “Consistency has plagued us.”

West Indies snapped a six‑match T20I losing streak. They had lost every match since June. The teams meet again tomorrow in the final T20. Pakistan will face ODIs in Trinidad next week. Both sides still eye a strong limited‑overs series.

Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha had earlier praised his “fine blend of youth and experience” in the squad.
