“New car launches can be confusing. Tata just made things easier.”
“Meet the Adventure X editions—feature-packed, good-looking, and under ₹20 lakh.”
What's Going On?
Tata Motors has released new versions of its two big SUVs: the Harrier and the Safari. These new variants are called Adventure X (Harrier) and Adventure X+ (Safari). The goal? Fewer choices, better value.
Prices start at ₹18.99 lakh for Harrier and ₹19.99 lakh for Safari. That’s pretty competitive for what you’re getting.
What’s New?
There’s no change on the outside—same bold looks. But inside, things get a big upgrade:
- Two large 10.25-inch screens (one for your media, one for the driver)
- Leatherette seats
- 360-degree camera
- ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance) with smart cruise control
- Land Rover-style gear shifter
Tata also cut down the total number of versions. Harrier now has 6 trims, Safari just 5. Fewer options mean it's easier to choose and easier for dealers to explain.
Why It Matters
Most of us don’t want 11 confusing options when buying a car. Tata is now saying: “Here’s a solid version with everything most people want—go for it.”
You get fancy features like safety tech and big screens without jumping to the most expensive models. That’s good news if you want something premium but don’t want to spend ₹25+ lakh.
How It Stacks Up
Both Harrier and Safari already have 5-star safety ratings. Add in ADAS, a 360-camera, and cruise control, and they now match many more expensive SUVs in features.
And importantly, they’re priced below competitors like the MG Hector and Jeep Compass. For the price, you’re getting a lot—and Tata knows it’ll appeal to city drivers and highway road-trippers alike.
Final Thoughts
Tata’s new Adventure X trims are a smart way to offer more car for less money. As Tata’s head of marketing, Vivek Srivastava, put it: “These models aren’t just about features—they’re about lifestyle.”
If Tata can keep up with demand and deliver quickly, this move could shake things up in the SUV world.
